2. What we process
- Technical usage data — for example IP address, timestamps, browser type, pages viewed and referrer, via hosting and server logs.
- Communication data — if you contact us by email or phone (content of the enquiry and your contact details).
- Cookie / consent status — your choice in the cookie notice, stored locally in your browser.
- Quiz answers — processed only in your browser for scoring; they are not sent to us as a form submission. The result may include a link to a partner.
We do not ask for your name, email address or PPS number inside the quiz.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process data to operate and secure the website, answer enquiries, meet legal obligations, and — where permitted or with your consent — measure reach related to advertising. Legal bases include legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: site operation, security, documented advertising), contract or pre-contractual steps where relevant (Art. 6(1)(b)), legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)), and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share personal data only where needed for hosting, IT operations, legal duties, or the handling of partner links you choose to follow. Partner pages (for example after the quiz) are governed by their own privacy notices. Transfers outside the EEA occur only with appropriate safeguards or a legal exception.
5. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Server logs are retained for a limited operational period. Cookie preferences remain until you clear them in your browser.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland): www.dataprotection.ie.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Absolute security of transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.
